Mike SorcinelliMike grew up in West Springfield, MA. After high school, he attended and graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville PA, where he met and eventually married Kristin. After college, he served as pastor of student ministries in Cumberland MD. After four years he moved back to his hometown of West Springfield to start New Day Church. Seeing huge opportunity in New England to reach the lost, Mike & Kristin took a step of faith, called some friends, and with God's help, started New Day Church. Andrew CharkoAndrew was born in Springfield, MA, spent about 10 years in Florida, and then moved back to New England in 1997. After graduating from Agawam High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree at Westfield State University and a master’s degree at Springfield College. Prior to coming on full-time at New Day in 2012, Andrew spent 10 years in public education, teaching mathematics and serving as a high school assistant principal. Andrew and his wife Kristi are founding members of New Day, joining with Mike and Kristin as volunteers when they were called to start the church in 2008. Andrew and Kristi reside in West Springfield with their five children Ella, Gibson, Colsen, Brooks & Ruthie.
Peter AxtmannPeter was born in Springfield, MA and raised in Wilbraham MA. After graduating from Springfield College in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree, he continued to pursue his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Springfield College graduating in 2004. Prior to beginning his full time career at New Day, Peter spent 11 years working in Student Affairs at Bay Path University. Peter and his wife Rachel are founding members of New Day Church. They partnered with Mike and Kristin to start the church in 2008 and served as volunteers and then part time staff members in various roles. Peter joined the New Day team full-time in the spring of 2013. Peter and Rachel reside in Longmeadow with their four children: Andrew, Carter, Griffin, and Isabelle.
Tracey JarvisTracey grew up in Holyoke, Ma. After high school she met and married Lester Jarvis. They lived in West Springfield and had two children; Christian & Corrin. Tracey served as a children's director before uprooting their young family to move to Manchester, CT to pioneer a church. They had their third child Madison during that church plant. They currently reside in Enfield CT.
Jonathan WatsonJonathan grew up in Agawam, MA. He earned a bachelor’s degree of science in nursing at Elm’s College and worked as an Emergency and Trauma nurse for Baystate Medical Center for four years. He went on to serve as the Assistant Manager for the Emergency department before leaving to begin his full time career at New Day in the summer of 2017. Jonathan and his wife Sarah joined Mike and Kristin in 2008 as founding members serving as volunteers. In the early stages of New Day he served by running the sound board and projection as well as playing bass on the worship team. Jonathan and Sarah currently live in Agawam with their three children, Evelyn, Louis, and Rosalie.
