About Us

Mike, Our Lead Pastor

Mike grew up in West Springfield, MA. After high school, he attended and graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA, where he met and eventually married Kristin. After college, Mike served as pastor of student ministries in Cumberland, MD. After four years, he moved back to his hometown of West Springfield to start New Day Church. Seeing a huge opportunity in New England to reach the lost, Mike & Kristin took a step of faith, called some friends, and with God's help, started New Day Church. Mike and Kristin reside in Feeding Hills with their five children, Allyson, Lincoln, Barrett, Jonathan, and Andrew.

MEET THE TEAM

Our Mission

In accordance with Matthew 28:19-20, we exist to make, mark and mature disciples of Jesus.

We make disciples by preaching the gospel so people can respond in faith and be saved.

When someone decides to go public with the decision they've made to follow Jesus, we mark them as a follower of Jesus by water baptizing them.

And we help those who get saved and baptized to mature in their faith by teaching them the Word of God (which happens on Sundays and in Small Groups).

Our Vision

In accordance with Acts 1:8, our vision is to fill our region with Jesus-loving, gospel-preaching, disciple-making churches.

We live in the spiritually darkest part of our country and we are hell-bent on flooding it with the light of Christ that shows the way to heaven. And we believe the best way to do this is by starting more Jesus-loving, gospel-preaching, disciple-making churches.

Our Beliefs

  • God created a good world (Genesis 1).
  • Mankind messed it up through sin (Genesis 3-11).
  • Man’s sin brought God’s judgment (Genesis 2:16-17).
  • But because of His great love for us (John 3:16) and to save us from the just penalty for sin (which is death, Romans 6:23), God inaugurated a glorious plan of salvation that involved a man named Abram and the three promises God gave to Him (Genesis 12:1-3). God told Abram: I’m going to turn you into a great big nation, I’m going to give that great big nation a great big chunk of land, and one day I’m going to bring forth a Savior from the nation and out of the land to save mankind from the penalty for sin (Genesis 12:1-3).
  • The Old Testament tells the story of God fulfilling His first two promises (turning Israel into a great big nation and giving them a great big chunk of land). The New Testament begins with the wonderful announcement that in the person of Jesus, God fulfilled His third promise to send a Savior into the world (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
  • Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), and at the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit indwells each believer (1 Corinthians 12:13) to empower them to do the same (Acts 1:8).
  • Until Jesus raptures His Church, the Church is to work together to proclaim the Gospel - the glorious good news that there’s peace with God through faith in Jesus (Romans 5:1) so that as many people as possible might escape God’s judgment against sin (Revelation 20:11-15) and instead live forever with God in heaven (Revelation 21:1-3).

Small Groups

New Day Church is a Jesus-loving, Gospel-preaching, Disciple-making church! We focus on two key activities: large group gatherings on Sundays and Small Group meetings during the week. Our Small Groups operate on a semester basis and offer an excellent opportunity to connect with other believers in our church.
